Fiction - Innocence PT 2 There was a moment in the Circle, where Aki Lithos asked the question about her family to her only friend, Niththal (Or ‘Companion’ as he preferred), about their family, and if he had one like how she did. All of which was an awkward way to start a conversation, especially with how the night before had gone and how they were both awkwardly keeping away from it. Companion didn’t really answer at first, pausing in anxious thought with his ears lowered and him tapping the scarred side of his face.
All he said was that he didn’t knew, he supposed his family was still alive and well (his tone sounded different to Aki however, like he was faking a smile when the Templar came about for ‘practice’.), and that neither of them should worry about their parents or siblings, for they’ll be alright and fine. Aki didn’t really believe him at first, but with some jokes an
Fiction - Innocence.Time seemed to be simple then, he remembered fondly one the shaky ocean, looking towards the sleeping Elf who escaped with him, the sun peaking through the barely open hatch above. Yes, those days were simple, and his missed his siblings dearly, he wasn’t going to lie about that now. He lost track on the years that went by since his younger brother was born, but he remembers the day, week, month clearly...
The golden grass was long to his eight year old body, and his elder sister, who was fourteen years older, couldn’t help but to agree quickly. They have been told to head outside for their mother was ill, or that’s what their father said. They didn’t mind it – if it meant a moment that they weren’t judged for being part of the Knox family tree, a noble family that came from the great land of Antiva (something their father said while scolding them often)! They could be just them.
The sun was warm for Ferelden, especially for this time of
Echo - Chapter 3Aki was awaken by a loud clank of a cell door. The sounds of Templar boots and their banter was easy to hear. All of the other Mages imprisoned were silent, and the Templar liked it be that way.
“The Knox house hold was burned down – people say the villagers were angry at them for harbouring Mages.” One Templar had said, quickly yanking something up in a rash way. Aki judged by how the there was a clacking of chains, that it was another Mage.
“Ah, that makes sense – some of the Mages were mentioning a fire a few minutes ago.” Another had said, as the sound of a cell’s door creaked and a body was thrown in.
Neither of two Templar seemed to care, for the walked on continuing their conversation. With a clank of a wooden door, and the slacking sounds of locks, Aki finally opened one of her eyes.
The cells and hallway were dark, which wouldn’t have bothered her if there wasn’t a single torch lit up down the hallway. She le
mechanici want to kiss every aching wound you have,
bandage your heart every time it bleeds,
and patch up your mind over and over
because not a single tear deserves to fall
from your brandy-drenched eyes
but this dripping heart of mine can only feel
and the healing honey words it flames get caught
in the back of my throat and on the roof of my mouth
so i only have these passionate guttural cries
to tell you that i care all too much
and in order to fix you up again,
i would need to tear myself to tatters
and trade all of my working parts
for your leftover, fading pieces
but i just haven’t figured out how.
